Within the last week, whenever Windows Mail is opened, it makes it to the main screen for about a second, then the screen goes black, the computer shuts down and reboots. Checked for viruses and all clear. Anyone encounter this and if so, how to fix? Any assistance is appreciated.

Could you go into event viewer (type event viewer in search) and go to the windows logs>app tab. See what errors are there relating to the WLM crashing. You can also go to c:\windows\minidump, zip the dump file (*.dmp) and up load it for us to see. If there isn't a dump file there do a search for *.dmp
