Fault Buckets

I am new to this forum (and forums in general) and this may not be the correct place for the question below. If it is the wrong forum, can someone point me in the right direction?

I have three errors that occur in the Error Log. One of them I Googled and found a hardware problem. There are two others (766399529 & 767407337) that I have no clue as to what they are.

How does one find out what these errors mean?
Is there a site that will help me decode all of the text after the error number"

Thanks:(

Where do these error codes show up? If in a BSOD and you upload the dump file we can give you more information. Dump files are usually in c:\windows\minidump and are in the format *.dmp

Ken -

Thanks for the prompt reply. I think that I have figured it out, but I will post it for anyone else who is interested:

Error Log Located: C: -> Users -> Barry -> App Data -> Local -> Microsoft->WER->Report Archive\Report (Whew!)

If you expand it out you get:

10/13/2009 7:08 PM Windows Error Reporting Fault bucket 767407337, type 5
Event Name: WindowsUpdateFailure
Response: None
Cab Id: 0

Problem signature:
P1: 7.4.7600.226
P2: 80070005
P3: F1B15DF5-F20C-4D44-952F-BD43B6BB6114
P4: Install
P5: 101
P6: Unmanaged
P7:
P8:
P9:
P10:

Attached files:

These files may be available here:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\Report107caf6f

This appears to be a Windows Update failure (Event Name: WindowsUpdateFailure ...)

The others are different, but nothing fatal.

Any idea how to translate the rest of this?

Also, can I turn WER off. It appears to be aresource hog?

Thanks Again,

:D Barry
