Blue Screen, BCCode: a

Ok so I have been getting this same Blue screen on and off for months now. The blue screen will happen while windows is loaded (typically when I am away from the computer), and when the computer tries to boot. So now I try to boot up and it gets past the loading progress bar and bluescreens. I have had a few friends look at it and but seems like no luck. Here are some of the steps that have been taken in the past: Update the BIOS, system restore (quite a few times), system wipe(can't remember the right term). Some of these steps seemed to work... until a while later and the computer bluescreens again. For a while I could load in safe mode, then restart in normal mode and it would work. I have an ok knowledge of computers. Not an expert but not a newb, so... Here is the Blue Screen data and system specs. I would appreciate any help you can give!

Hello gohn255,
Go to C > Windows > Minidump, and zipup the dump files, upload them with your next post, (you may have to copy them to your desktop first).
Once uploaded, we will take a look at them.
Can you confirm that nothing is overclocked and that you have all the Windows updates and service packs, thanks.

Download and install SP2, this may help.

Try a repair install using the vista disk, this will leave the user files alone and repair the system files.

Here is the minidump folder zipped.

As far as updates go, I have it auto updates ( I think) so it should be up to date. When I right click and go to properties on "Computer " It says service Pack 1. However when I try to click the link saying Update it does nothing (I am in Safe mode with Networking). How do I check if the processor is overclocked? I have not overclocked it myself, is that something the computer can automatically do?

Thank You,
Daniel

edit... it says "upgrade not update" ... gonna go see about updating

edit yet again... would help if I attached... doh!

If you have not done any overclocking then its not overclocked.

Where you write your post go advanced, you will see a little paper clip, click on that and go to browse, locate your zip file and press upload, close page, then press the small paper clip again and choose your zip file.
The file did not load with your last post.

Do you have any video cam software installed, if so, un-install it, and try it to see if you still get a BSOD, if all is well, re-install the software with the latest drivers and see if this fixes the problem.
I will see if i can get any more info on the faulting driver.

well I disabled the integrated webcam, and now the computer booted up correctly... so I think that is it! :) So if I want to get the web cam funcional again, what steps should I take? It is an integrated webcam, and it is made by creative.

Thank You SOOOOOO much

Your very welcome.
Go to the manufacturers site and download the latest driver for the webcam.
While you are there, check to see if there are any newer drivers for you chipset, sound, and graphics card, if there are newer ones, update them too.
Also make sure you have all the Windows updates and service packs, 1&2.
You should be good to go, any more problems you know where we are, good luck.
