Hi,

Welcome to the forum! :party::party::party:

Can you please upload the contents of the "C:\Windows\Minidump" folder in zip format. To upload a file, use the paperclip icon above the text box on this website, and then select file and click upload. If you do not know how to make a zip archive, use the free 7-Zip.

Thank you.

Well, the 7zip has proven difficult. The program saves the file with .7z extension. The board won't let me upload it. I must be missing a step.

My Computer

Hi,

Select everything you want to pack into the zip archive. Right click on one of them and select "Add to Archive". In the top left hand corner of the new window, change the drop down from 7z to zip. Set a name and copy the file to your Desktop before uploading. It should now work. Good luck,

Richard

Hi,

DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
STOP: 0x0000009f

Referenced drivers:
hal.dll
ndis.sys
ntoskrnl.exe
tcpip.sys

Does this happen when you are doing something particular, such as shutting down? This indicates a driver issue. The most important thing to do is to update all of your drivers. Therefore:

  • Update all of the drivers you can.

  • Run Memtest86+ or another memory testing tool that came with your computer.

  • Make sure all windows updates and service packs are installed.

  • See if these BSODs occur in Safe Mode and report back.

  • See if there are any errors showing in Device Manager.

Here are the old drivers (2006 + 2007) you need to investigate and update. Do not forget to update drivers not in this list:

The blue screen would appear briefly just at the end of a shutdown and the notice would appear during the next startup. It would not give the error in safe mode.

Updating the drivers and checking my pc manufacturer for a bios update did the trick.

It works fine now. Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction!

Issue resolved. :)

My Computer

Hi,

Really glad it is fixed now. Well done for fixing it,
