Problems at Start-up

Okay I've had this problem for quite a problem now. I play online games and my computer will freeze and when I try to restart it I get error messages. The most common one is Disk Read Error hit ctrl + alt + delete. A couple others I get from time to time are missing operating system or insert proper boot media and restart. Now if I actually reinstall windows it works for a day or two but then the problem reoccurs. Please anyone that can help me with this please do because Ive installed windows on this computer countless times and I'm just not going to do it anymore, there has to be a fix for this.

Hi and welcome to the forum , please could you fill in your System Specs in User CP, it would be greatly appreciated.

This sounds to me like your HDD is knackered.
Have you tried checking your drive for errors recently?
Go to Computer and right click on C:\, then select properties. Go to the Tools tab and click the 'Check now...' button. Make sure in the window that opens both tick boxes are ticked.

It may also be worth defragmenting you HDD, you can do this by selecting the button below the 'Check now...' button in the Tools tab in properties.

How old is the HDD and what's its Windows Experience Index score?

Windows Score is 5.7. Trust me this is not the Hard Drive as this is the 4th one I've bought everyone tells me that and I buy a new one and the same thing happens over and over and over.

Please could you fill in your System Specs in user CP for us then please.

If it's not a HDD issue it's either a motherboard or connector issue.

Try using the program several times, then go to event viewer each time (from search) and lets see what it says.

We still need those specs.

Also boot up the computer and listen carefully to the beeps. long, short, one long one short, etc. Let us know.

Okay so I edited the specs. I tried to do chkdsk when I went home and it ran for quite a while and deleted and reorphaned files but at the end it didn't finish due to it saying I didn't have enough space or something like that. Now I have A BSOD but it flashes so quickly I cant even view the message. Is there a way I can make the BSOD stick so I can give you guys the error message?

In lieu of a better choice, you can install your HD in another computer.

Press F8 before the windows after your bios screen to try and get into safe mode and do it from there if possible.
