Blue screen - Driver Power state failure

Received above error 0x0000009F(0x00000003,0x86c6f6b8,0x8486BAB0) first time_restart. Followed by physical memory dump and contact system admin, etc.

The Vista Toshiba Satellite A215-S4757 AMD Turion Dual Core 32bit will not startup - has dead keyboard as well although it seems to light up. Tried putting in restore disc but nothing. I considered dead and bought a new laptop - HP Windows 7. Didn't like Vista anyway! Want to know if there is any hope for repair (without costing a fortune!). I was downloading new BIOS when received a message indicating that I needed to be running as administrator (which I was). The download had not reached backup yet so old BIOS should have been untouched at that point. I could not continue so tried to back out. Then received above error and blue screen. I was hoping to fix keyboard problems and message on your site or a similiar site said new BIOS would fix problem. I took the problem laptop to the Geek Squad to copy files from the hard drive and it was in good condition.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. Since, I am unable to access my laptop I'll have to call on the local Geek Squad to find the dump (if it is not too expensive) and burn to CD of DVD.

Wait.... if you are calling the local Greek Squad. Then... why not them fix it for you?
By the way (BTW), you need to attach, not burn.

Locate the .dmp file and zip it with WinRar to make a .zip file and then upload with your post.
