Hello first do you still have the event viewer error's if so don't delete I need for you to copy some of them and up-load them to me, the whole report and as of now please don't delete anything else as we might need to review them. If you can I would like you to run a full sfc scan, I am sure you probable know how but just in case here is what you need to do.

1. Click Start...
2. In the search box type: cmd...
3. When the popup list comes up at the top you will see cmd.exe Right click and run as administrator.
4. When the command box appears then type sfc /scannow, notice there is a space between the sfc and the forward slash. Let it run until finished and if it shows any errors then run it 3 more times as it fixes more each time it is run. When it is done please follow the instructions and up-load us the results, heres how and the instructions will aslo tell you how to put the sfc report on your desktop to send to us.

Thank you and hope to hear from you soon. lol

One more thing when did you last run a full AV scan, We would aslo like to see you do the following.

1. Run a full up-dated scan using your Anti-Virus

2. Run a full scan using malwarebytes, you can download the free version and then run full scan we want to make sure that there is no virus or any malware in your system, here is the download link. Malwarebytes

If there are any of the above let the software do the deleteing for you, plus if there is anything on your computer do NOT use any of your restore points as you will reinfect your system, you would need to delete them and start new resotre points..

I've tried deleting both of those and the one for the viewer can be removed but the windows one I can't do anything too.

this is the error I'm getting

Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files\Phoenix Viewer\PhoenixViewer.exe".Error in manifest or policy file "" on line . A component version required by the application conflicts with another component version already active. Conflicting components are:. Component 1: C:\Windows\WinSxS\manifests\x86_microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.4016_none_d0893820442e7fe4.manifest. Component 2: C:\Program Files\Phoenix Viewer\Microsoft.VC80.CRT.MANIFEST.

Nothing came up as an issue after running the SFC scan but I still get the event error. I have also run the [netsh winsock reset] command and the issue still persists. I just ran AVG virus scan and nothing showed up. I am now running malwarebytes and I'll tell you the outcome of that when its finished

Hello

There is actually a fix for it click this link

downloads [Phoenix Viewer],

then you click the download labeled [1.5.2.1102 Windows SSE2 Download].
After you let that run try running Phoenix Viewer again, if it doesn't work then reply back to this message.
