lost files

hi guys need some help done a system back up and restore stored all files ect on to external hard drive put pc back to factory setting and restored files clicked button to restore to original places but the files are nowhere to be found their there because the C drive memory has increased by 200gb approx tried a search for file names but no luck.i still have all the files on ex drive so all is not lost but where are they on the C drive "HELP"

I would suggest that you do the recovery of the files again.

This time though, please pay a little more attention to where they are going or where you select them to be placed during recovery.

thanks for your reply the files are on the C drive somewhere so am i right in thinking that if i restore the files again that will double the used space on my C drive which will be more than i have available or would i have to back up to my files and restore to factory settings again
