Random Shutdowns?

I sometimes get this popup in the System Tray that says "Your computer has multiple security problems" (Or that that likeness) and then the whole computer crashes and shuts down. So far this only happens when I am doing some online gaming. I think it could be some overheating but IDK if that security message has anything to do with that. So any ideas?

I do have a Firewall and Anti-Virus progam but I did disable Windows Defender and Firewall. I had this computer for 2 years or so now and it has never encountered such crashes until this past week or 2.

Welcome
Update your anti virus and make a full scan
Download and make a full updated scan with malwarebytes.
I think that you may have a problem with malware.

Your symptoms do not sound like overheating.

Ouch. Just happened again and right during middle of the scan. And also when I mean shutdown, I mean the computer just powers off completely by itself.

Try malwarebytes in safe mode.
Sounds more and more like malware.

Well during the scan that was aborted due to shutting down, my anti-virus did find 2 threats (Malewarebyte found 3 and took care of those. I think)

And Roy, what about the Command Prompt is so important?

CMD is also disabled by some virus. If you type in CMD and the computer shuts down you know you have problems.

If it does not shut down then you have a great way of sorting things out.

Yikes. It happened again. I noticed I always get a small lag before the popup baloon comes out before my computer powers off. If my computer turns out Maleware free after the scan I am running now, there may be another problem lurking.

Checked the Security Center. May of been the fact I disabled UAC.

Have you had a look in your event viewer to see if this sheds any light?

Have you looked at your processes to see if there is anything that looks suspicious?

Everything looks fine there.

What to look under in Event Viewer?
