Solved Blue screen error

I made a post yesterday about this problem and I can not find it. It was at this site and was made under "Windows Updates" and I can find no trace of it.

I installed 21 Windows Updates yesterday. When I came back to my computer there was a window on my desktop stating that Windows had recovered from an unexpected shutdown. When I clicked on Details it shows the event name as a blue screen.

I next checked my updates and it shows that all of the updates were successfully installed.

Can anyone tell me if this is something I have to worry about?

Hello,

Personally, I wouldn't worry about anything unless it becomes a recurring problem. That said, if you want, you can upload a BSOD report as American Critic advised.

There were a bunch of these errors in Event Viewer under Administrative Events:
The entry <C:\USERS\CINDY\APPDATA\LOCAL\MOZILLA\FIREFOX\PROFILES\PV0GC0WS.DEFAULT\CACHE\_CACHE_MAP_> in the hash map cannot be updated.
Context: Application, SystemIndex Catalog
Details: A device attached to the system is not functioning. (0x8007001f)

There are also a bunch of warnings in this area. There was one item like this: Audit events have been dropped by the transport. The real time backup file was corrupt due to improper shutdown. I assume this has to do with that blue screen.

Then there are a bunch of two other items, one Event ID 4374 and another 4376.

After I run this BSOD Dump & System File Collection app (EXE file) where do you want me to post it?

Also, when I run the system health report it gives me the same thing every time -- that I have a device which is disabled, and also that there is no antivirus or spyware. But when you go to my security center everything shows up as it should.

The errors about no antivirus programs installed is a known bug; that's nothing to be concerned with.

I wouldn't worry about anything right now; if you really want though, you could attach the jcgriff2 report to your next post in this thread.

Hello Nikilet I have to agree with Jonathan_king at this point the report does not look bad. I would however like for you to do the following.

Click Start...
In the search box type: cmd...
When the popup list comes up scroll up and RIGHT click on cmd.exe and then click run as administrator...
When the command box appears the type: sfc /scannow notice there is a spsce between the sfc and the forward slash, run the full scan and if it comes back with any erros then run it 3 more times as it repairs ore each time you run it. Here is a great tutorial that will guide you through it...

Every time I run this, which has been several times in the recent past, it says the same thing. See screenshot. How can it find something every time? I have a feeling it's the same item every time but this could all just as well be Greek for as much as it means to me. I am going to enclose this file also. Would you be so kind as to take a look at it for me?
