Administrator Problems

I had CA Security Suite 2010 installed and it severely screwed up my system! Finally, after multiple uninstall programs, I got one that removed all the components, at least I think so because most of the problems I was having seemed to be fixed. Here is my problem...I work in a program for my clients called SIP (Schedules Input Program). I manage their GSA contracts and this program is what I use to upload their products/services to GSA Advantage. Ever since the CA download I have been having problems with this program, so I have uninstalled and tried to reinstall. I am getting errors that are beyond the Vendor Support Center and we think we have narrowed down to administrative rights problems. When this program installs, it is not making me the admininstrator, it defaults to 'system' and I cannot go into properties, compatability and check mark the 'run as administrator' as it is grayed out. I did also have some issues with my User Account Controls as everytime I did something it popped up saying that I needed permission. I went in and turned that part off and everything seems okay there. I am so frustrated right now because I am at a standstill and cannot get this program installed in order to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Welcome
Your problem is probably permissions. Read the tutorial and try it if you think it is appropriate
Sharing and Permissions - Windows 7 Forums
Same as Vista
If this is not your problem, try to right click on the program and run as administrator.
But I think permissions is your best bet.

I am set as the administrator of my computer. I don't know whether this error is specific to the program I use or not but here it is: Access Violation at address 005B8CF9 in Import32.exe

At this point, I have right clicked each file involved in this program and I am set to 'Run as Administrator' and the group/user is SYSTEM.

Read the information, in my post, about permissions.

I did read the suggested post and verified everything.

I assume you are referring to the CA Security software...I honestly can't remember, I just checked in my email to see if it was through email...I've had so many issues going on that I can't think straight. I did get support from them as far as uninstalling it, which their uninstall wasn't good enough!

Some of the problems, I would right click on an item and it would take 20-30 seconds before the menu would pop up and in the menu, CA would still be there. All the sudden, windows would pop up saying that windows needed my permission to do something, I didn't have admin rights etc.
