Solved Copy a manifest file

Hey hey, this is my first post on this forum, so Hello.

I'm after a bit of help. My friend's laptop has a problem; Vista loads up, but gets stuck with an error message "Interactive logon process initialization has failed".

I've googled for a fix to this problem, and have had some success. I made a bootable Vista restore disc on a USB stick and have copied C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs\Application.evtx to view on my own laptop. I've identified a manifest file that I think I can just write over with a working version of, but I'm on Windows 7 on my laptop, so haven't got a copy of the right manifest file.

What's the best way of getting it?

The file I need is C:\Windows\WinSxS\manifests\x86_microsoft.windows.c..-controls.resources_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.6001.18000_en-us_72e6f33f34dfabb9.manifest

I would be happy for someone to email a copy of this file over to me. Seems like the quickest solution (?)

Thanks
