I have an HP laptop. It froze up. I unplugged and removed the battery to reset it. Now I can not Log in? I tried resetting the passwords (in safe mode) and cannot log into any user account. I even set a user up with no password and when I click the user icon it does nothing. I ran some anti virus removers in safe mode. Kaspersky found three Trogens and I deleted them. I'm unable to run Ad-aware or Malwarebite's in safe mode. I ran both Microsoft tools and they show nothing as does Spybot? What to do?

I am able to reset the password in safe mode but the password does not work when i try to log in, I already tried system restore to no avail.

See if you can use this adminsitrator
Built-in Administrator Account - Enable or Disable - Windows 7 Forums[2]=User Accounts
If you can see if you can set up a new account.
Just to be sure that you reset the password correctly

No dice. I can get in an set up a new account but it does the same thing. I put in the password and it gives me a password hint. If I set up an account with no password when I reboot and click on it it does nothing.
