All right, I can't seem to get rid of this on my startup. And I want my computer back. :<
Anyways, here's the whole story: (don't laugh at me if I made any dumb mistakes I might have made D
I was just sitting at home after band practice one day and went to go watch YouTube, like what any normal 17 year old does after a busy day. Then I realized something.... my computer wasn't playing sound and couldn't find its own speakers
. After a little internet research, I check for some drivers
, which my computer didn't have the option for... so I kept searching and I see to do a system restore. So, I check and there was an update the night before that might have done something. I go ahead and do the system restore and then I kept getting this Startup Repair coming up. And it won't go away.
That's my story.
Now, for more details:
After the system restore, the startup repair would keep popping up, and now it won't go away. It's been about 3 days now. When I go to see the problem, I get this:
Problem Event Name: StartupRepairV2

Upon startup, I can get other options such as a system check, command prompt, and other options, which I don't want to mess with like a factory reset.
My computer is an HP Pavillion dv2500 with Windows Vista. Only other disk I can find with it is a disk that has "Upgrade your Windows Vista Experience" with in small print "Includes 32-bit software."
I've seen other people with similar errors and was hoping for some help. I will do anything as long unless it's inevitable to do the factory reset. I will also retrieve any other possible info I can get. Thank you!
