"Microsoft Windows Search Indexer Stopped Working" Issues

I know this issue has been brought up before, but I am unable to solve the problem following the below solution -

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/85803-index-windows-search-service.html

I am using a Vista Home Premium 64 bit computer, and when I try to do this solution the computer tells me that I am unable to get access to the folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows. It says "You don't currently have access to this folder", and when I click "Continue for access" nothing happens.

This problem is plaguing me and I would love to have it resolved.

Thank you for helping.

Although this is for a file, use it to take ownership of the folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html

If other problems occur, then I'd have to wonder if you're infected.
