Random BSOD, 0x0000007f

I keep getting these random BSOD's. They happen 1-4 times a week. They don't happen when doing something specific. I could be sleeping, and leave my computer on, and it will get BSOD, or I might be browsing the web and it gets it. I have no clue what it would be.

Vista Home Basic
Store bought
Computer bought about 3 years ago.
Never reinstalled the OS.

Also, the performance test says I have no anti-virus, but I have Norton, just giving a heads up.

I can't find this file. And yes, I have my files/folders unhidded. Also, I've scan with MalwareBytes everyday.

There must have been something there when the "Snapshot" was taken.

So, has something been cleaned off your computer? Did you do a Malware or virus scan?

Has the BSOD problem gone away?

Can you upload the mini "Dump" files?

Nothing has been cleaned off at all. I just now got BSoD, and which file is the mini dump?

Have you de-selected "Hide protected operating system files", along with the "Show hiiden files and folders"?

Please download VEW by Vino Rosso http://images.malwareremoval.com/vino/VEW.exe
and save it to your desktop

Double click it to start it Note: If running Windows Vista or Windows 7 you will need to right click the file and select Run as administrator and click Continue or Allow at the User Account Control Prompt.

Click the check boxes next to Application and System located under Select log to query on the upper left

Under Select type to list on the right click the boxes next to Error and Warning Note: If running Windows Vista or Windows 7 also click the box next to Critical (not XP).

Under Number or date of events select Number of events and type 20 in the box next to 1 to 20 and click Run

Once it finishes it will display a log file in notepad
Please copy and paste its entire contents into your next reply

Ah, I had protected files hidden. I unhid them, and found the file, but it seems to be clean with a 0/20 results. Also, it is from 2010 when I did not have this BSoD happening.

Looks to me like "sleep transition " is causing problems with possibly another running program/application.

You might try a 'clean startup'
