    BSOD

Hi. Can anybody help me solve this?

For the last few days, my computer would freeze unexpectedly, usually when I was either opening many programs at once or many new browser tabs. This morning, in the same situations, I would instead get the BSOD, twice with the message IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, and then when I went in via safe mode and did some backing up, MEMORY MANAGEMENT.

    System info:
OS: Vista Home Premium x64 OEM. 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2
Bios: Awards Software International, Inc. F7 13/01/2009
    MB: Gigabyte EP45-ED3P
    Processor: Core2Quad Q8200

I have not installed any new programs recently, and I use BitDefender antivirus software.

I've run the BSOD Dump and System File Collection app and also the System Health Report but cannot upload them??

    Re: BSOD

Only 244 updates installed since SP2 - most systems have 300 to 350. Please visit Windows Update and get all available updates.

The memory dumps dont' point to a specific issue at this point. My primary suspects are BitDefender or the Gigabyte EasySaver utility.

I'd suggest running Driver Verifier to see if we can pin down the exact cause of this error. Please follow the instructions here: Driver Verifier Settings

If the above steps don't stop the BSOD's, please zip up and upload any new memory dumps with your next post - and we'll see what we can figure out from there.

The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs

    - Further info on BSOD error messages available at: http://www.carrona.org/bsodindx.html
    - Info on how to troubleshoot BSOD's (DRAFT): http://www.carrona.org/userbsod.html
