I am getting a blue screen stating "Driver Power State Failure"
The following is what I get off a screen that pops up after the computer restarts:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen

OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.256.1

Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:

BCCode: 9f

BCP1: 0000000000000003

BCP2: FFFFFA8007559060

BCP3: FFFFFA8007554060

BCP4: FFFFFA800544F2E0

OS Version: 6_0_6002

Service Pack: 2_0

Product: 256_1

Files that help describe the problem:

C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini110412-16.dmp

C:\Users\Jordan A Lampila\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-83039-0.sysdata.xml

C:\Users\Jordan A Lampila\AppData\Local\Temp\WER5B1A.tmp.version.txt

I can't view any of the mini dump files saved on my computer to get more info or involved files.
Can anyone help me and tell me what driver or hardware is causing problems.
This started after i got the first LCD display switched out back in May of 2012. It started within a couple months ago.

Hi jlampila,

We can try few troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue between hardware/software:

To check if it is related to hardware, run the built-in diagnostics provided by the manufacturer on the computer to check if the hardware is working fine.

If diagnostics passes then it could be related to a driver problem.

You can configure the windows to ensure that minidump files are created, please follow the steps mentioned in the link: Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD - Windows 7 Forums

With this information we can help: http://www.vistax64.com/crashes-debugging/282419-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

Hi jlampila,

While checking the Dump files, found that the recent Blue Screens are caused by the file ATSwpDrv.sys which is related to AuthenTec fingerprint software.

Try to reinstall the drivers for AuthenTec fingerprint software from the support website and check if it works fine.

If issue persists, run the built-in diagnostics to check if the hardware is working properly.

Please post the results.

Welcome
This is the name of the company
AuthenTec, Inc.
Hopefully you can get information form this site.
AuthenTec a leading provider of mobile and network security
I checked it quickly and the driver that is required may not be available, then try to install a more current driver from the device manager. If that is not possible try to roll back from the device manager.
If that does not work it will be necessary to uninstall the software. Good luck

I sent my laptop back to HP service center to resolve the blue screen issues with the included info about the finger print scanner driver/software issue.
The ended up replacing the mother board to help resolve the issue. I have had it back for about 2 days and before i got home tonight it threw another blue screen error. I have uploaded the dump file to this post and hope someone can tell me what is causing the issue now.
Thanks,

Hi jlampila,

I have analyzed the recent Blue Screen attachment you sent, and found that the error messages are caused because of " crcdisk.sys".
Code:
DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION (c4)
A device driver attempting to corrupt the system has been caught. This is
because the driver was specified in the registry as being suspect (by the
administrator) and the kernel has enabled substantial checking of this driver.
If the driver attempts to corrupt the system, bugchecks 0xC4, 0xC1 and 0xA will
be among the most commonly seen crashes.
Arguments:
Arg1: 00000000000000a0, A CRC error was detected on the sector (synchronously).
Arg2: fffff9801dad4e10, Request Irp.
Arg3: fffffa80048fe8e0, Device object of the lower device.
Arg4: 0000000002738496, Sector number on which the CRC error was detected.
