cannot reboot from installation disk

I am in an Acer Extensa 5200 running a version of Vista which I do not know how to verify because I currently cannot boot past the recovery options.

During recovery process I am asked to located hard disk drivers. Using the vista installation CD as a source fails as does searching every single driver in the system32 folder. I have added Succeesfuly added several drivers only to be notified that the startup options could not be saved. I cannot use the vista installation CD to repair or reinstall due to the windows error 0xE0000100.

This occurred immediately after a reboot after scanning with SuperAntiSpyware which found some tracking cookies and one PUB.

Suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
