OK, the reports were not conclusive, but point to a driver. Lets make a clean boot. If you work OK, in clean boot, follow the clean boot instructions to determine the cause.
If you do not work, at all, in clean boot, try in safe mode and report the results, here.

BSOD continues even after the clean startup.

The stop code has now changed however.

Shortly after my last post, my computer BSOD again.

I'm typing this message AFAP.

After trying to start my computer several times, this is what happened:
1. after selecting to run normal, a full red screen appeared
2. after restarting from the red screen, text appeared stating hard drive missing/corrupted
3. restarted again, the power button just flashed orange
4. restarted again, text stated there was something wrong with the file "NTFS.SYS"
5. Tried booting in safe mode, system crashed yet again

That is what has happened since my last post.

Computer crashing major this time. back to back to back.


Another possible major error was noted upon a startup.
error with: Windows\system32\drivers\partmgr.sys

If i dont get back to you, i might have to use library public computer.

Looking through this website, i found the page for "SFC Commands"
I follow the instructions and the elevated command prompt said the errors have been fix.

Hope this has worked, I am going to restart my computer and let you know what goes on.

Good find on the SFC, I doubt however that it will fix the problem that you are having. Ill wait until you get back, howver. The NTFS, could very well mean hard drive problems.

Looking at the results of the two CHKDSKS that have been run, the first shows no bad sectors, while the second show one.
This implies that the hard drive may be failing - and since the scans were only a day apart, there's no way to tell whether this is the beginning of a long slow slide, or a rapid drop.
You should back up your data to external media NOW for safety, and think about replacing the hard drive - especially if (after backing up) another CHKDSK /R shows more bad sectors

System was fine for a while, but the computer crashed once since last night.
Problem was not fixed, but something might have helped a little.

do you recommend a new tower or just replacing the hard drive will do it?

If you read my prior post, you will note, that I mentioned the possiblity of a bad Hard Drive. Do you hear any beeps when you boot the computer? Do you know how to use your computer's self diagnostic tests?

I do hear 1 beep when I start up my computer, however, the beep does not always come.
I realized that if i don't hear a beep, my computer does not start.
As for the self-diagnostic, I believe I've tried to run it but it crashed through several times.
I've ran a lot of different test upon start-up, only what I am prompted to do.
It would be helpful to link me to self-diagnostic if you would like, so I know I have ran one.

Go to the website of your hard drive manufacturer, they will have a test for your hard drive.
The self diagnostic is contained in your computer. Information on how to access is in your hand book or can be found online.

In Device Manager

Test ran, it stated that there was a problem with the file: "windows\system32\drivers\partmgr.sys".
upon looking in to my driver, I found this is apart of the driver.

this means my hard drive is corrupted for sure?

That has almost nothing to do with the physical state of your drive - which is the concern here.
You MUST run the appropriate manufacturer's test utility for proper diagnosis.

Here download this and it will give you a quick and dirty analysis.
Be sure you get the right link to download, they have all kinds of crap on the page, too.
