BSOD 1000007e in nvlddmkm.sys when I turn on my HDTV (as monitor)

My computer frequently crashes whenever I turn on my HDTV which is connected to my NVidia 8600 GT via DVI-2-HDMI connector.

I have the latest NVidia drivers and MS patches.

The "Host" button in the SF diagnostics utility crashes with "The system call level is not correct" error, so I manually worked through all the other buttons.

Thanks

I ran memtest and had 0 errors in 1 pass. ( I didn't want to take my media center offline over night. )

I replaced my video card, uninstalled the drivers, and installed the latest WHQL drivers since it was only $44 and other people on the Internet have good results with similar actions. I'll post more if I still get the BSODs.
