Computer not booting properly

Hi, guys! Recently, my computer has been acting up. I've had it for 5-6 years so I wouldn't be surprised if the problem is just due to the age of my computer. But recently when logging into the desktop, the computer would sometimes hang on me. The cursor would freeze and the whole system locked up and stayed that way, so I would have to manually reboot the computer by holding down the power switch and then everything worked as normal.

A few days ago, when logging in, the computer suddenly shut down and started beeping. As in the monitor went blank and a message came up saying NO VIDEO INPUT. Today, everything seemed to power up as normal, but then the BSOD appeared, but this time, the crash dump failed. Now I can't log in at all. I can only get as far as the welcome screen until it either shuts off and starts beeping or a crash dump ocurs and fails.

I tried starting up in safe mode and I managed to get the desktop, but as soon as I opened my Internet browser, the same thing happens.

Is it just that my computer is old, or is there another problem?

Any help would be appreciated!

When a computer shuts down and starts to beep, it would tell me it may be overheating.
Access your bios and look to see if it is configured this way. If it is give it a good clean on the inside ensuring all precautions are taken against static.
