Solved Crash before login

I booted up and crashed at the screen with "Microsoft Corporation." I waited a bit but there was no movement in the bar or tower light indication that things were working so I powered down. I booted again, chose Start-Up repair, chose to restore and windows started properly. I'm wondering two things: 1. What does this indicate about the state of my computer and 2. Could it be a game I was playing that was problematic and required specs that were above mine caused the problem?

I was playing a game last night that required a graphics card and cpu above mine. It was very laggy at points and froze a few times (freezes that may or may've not been inherent to the game as at least one I found happened to another player). However, I've played games that were above my specs before (that weren't as laggy though as this game seemed to really stress my system at points) and I also restarted my computer last night and there was no problem. Since I was able to restart I wonder if the game is caused the issue today.

Thanks.

The most possible cause was an improper shutdown. I would perform an SFC, if there are no problems. I would not be concerned
