Hi there 10x for the drivers mate. But CCC won't work even downloaded from Ati site. It still prompting the same message when entering in vista. Any ideas ?

Uninstall older CCC first, restart PC, use registry cleaner like TuneUp Utilities 2008, download and install .NET 3.5 from Microsoft website, restart PC, install new CCC, restart... maybe it's works.
If do not, install Ati Tray Tools...

Do you have any idea on how to update the south an north bridges?
I tried to use the South Bridge Driver provided in the ATI hp, but it doesn't work, like the video drivers.

Check your laptop manufacturer's page first - sometimes they have specially configured drivers that you can only get from their sites....

Hi friends.

DNA was released modified drivers for Vista 32 and 64 bits with mobility support.
The performance playing hi hes videos is better than the original driver.
I used fraps to measure it on my Gateway T-1616 laptop.

I believe the performance is better to games too.

I just downloaded the Radeon 2600 (new 6/18) and it did nto fix the problem. ATI denies any responsibillty. Their tech guys says the drivers are for desktops only. SO how the heck did it end up in my laptop?

Dude "ver 8.2" you are about 4 version to old. "ver 8.6" is the latest driver for all ATI cards.

Yeah. But I just downloaded 8.6 today and it still does not address the streetched desktop issue. if naything, it locks up even faster than before. Well, I guess that's progress for you.

Have you tried uninstalling All Catalyst software and the cards driver software. Then reboot and reinstall.
