Keyboard Driver

I have the Cyber Snipa WarBoard and the Driver does not support x64 (I presume because the installation guide only says Vista32 but the product descriptions doesn't say a specific Vista). It will install but then afterwards it will say that it has not detected the Gaming Keyboard (even though I can still type and such). Please help me. Can I get it work?

Re: Keyboard Driver

This may sound strange, but do you know what brand motherboard you have? There's also a chance it's a CPU issue, so what type do you have there?

For ease, I'd recommend giving yourself a signature block similar to mine (or many of the others on this forum) and include your specs all the time. Anything that seems like it's useful information is good to list.

Hopefully we can solve this one,

Scallion

Re: Keyboard Driver

Okay, well, the good news is that the BIOS should be plenty up to date (none of the updates seem to relate to this problem). You may, however, still want to check if you've got the most up-to-date chipset driver (GIGABYTE - Support - Motherboard - Driver - GA-P35C-DS3R (rev. 1.x)). This can actually solve some problems of this sort.

Another thing to check is if you get different behavior in different USB ports (especially on the mainboard versus remote ports). Ensure that you have it plugged into a USB 2.0 slot (shouldn't be a problem, I don't think).

And, though it may have ranked first, go ahead and download the drivers from the Cyber Snipa website. Sometimes they update things without really announcing it. Reinstalling with those drivers might help (if you've already done that, you can probably ignore this).

Checking your BIOS settings may also lend a bit of a clue. I assume you built your computer (I haven't seent many setups like that that weren't home built), so you may be comfortable looking in the BIOS to see if there are any USB settings or detection settings that might be conflicting.

If none of these give you any results, please open up your device manager and look around and see where the keyboard is. Take a look at as many details of that as possible, and share with screenshots, if possible.

Re: Keyboard Driver

Its not a problem with the computer in anyway.

The keyboard is currently using a Microsoft made driver. That means you can do basic stuff such as typing. But you can't use advance things (such as the gaming controls). You need their (Cyber Snipa) driver for that.

Re: Keyboard Driver

I have contacted the Cyber Snipa company and they told me that their drivers don't support 64-bit because they thought that people don't use 64-bit alot. I mean, this is a GAMING KEYBOARD. I think there a HEAPS of gamers out there with a 64-bit OS.

I can also use the multi-media keys. I guess thats a part of the basic controls too?

Re: Keyboard Driver

Such as play song and stuff? Its pretty basic (Microsoft's own keyboard supports it, so the driver should too :P)
