I would try the system restore. Go to the Acer Management software at the top of your screen then restore to factory specs. As well the info for the restore should be in the manual. Otherwise yes return it to the store and hopefully they can exchange it for you. As well try looking into if they do an exchange to pay the difference for the 6920 it really rocks. HD screen and has a lot more power.

Otherwise yes its best to go to the store ask for an exchange. Even if you want them to fix it they will probably do the same thing return it to factory specs. So SAVE anything you need to ok? Good luck.

If you need any other help my email is

Re: Drivers & Hardware

Thats what I did to my 7520. Worked really well. After your restore remember to download all available updates. Service pack 1 really makes vista stable after you get it.

Re: Drivers & Hardware

Great. Welcome to 64 bit. It rocks. Heck I have Diablo II and a heck load of older games playing fine in it. New games all seem fine so far.....havent had too many problems. Sometimes strangely enough, I have to turn off the sidebar to get a game to play. For instance Diablo II actually doesnt run properly with sidebar on. Other than that excellent seems to emulate 32bit fine for stuff that needs it. Make sure when you use antivirus that it will run in 64bit. I used windows live one care here because I wanted to make sure it would run fine in it. 64bit vista is getting more support all the time and it runs much faster. Nice to meet you.

Re: Drivers & Hardware

Re: Drivers & Hardware

Quicktime is installed as any other app, drivers are mainly hardware related.
If you install any software that has driver type libraries then that driver will be in the install.

Re: Drivers & Hardware

No guff drivers are hardware related. Thanks Captain Obvious. Apple related drivers are something different though. I think reinstalling quicktime as previously listed would solve the problem. I would try that. If that doesnt work I am not quite sure. Thanks for the link to quicktime for the person with the problem that is a help.
