64-bit Drivers

Hi guys, I am the co-founder of the catalogue of 64-bit software (www.64xsoft.com) and I thought that as a lot of people are searching for drivers here, the website we've being running for a year and a half will be useful for them. We are trying to collect all the 64-bit native apps in our online directory, so everyone is welcome. By the way, there is a driver's category as well.

Thanks a lot.

Re: 64-bit Drivers

Well, it is a nice site and a nice idea - but I have get the feeling that you haven't really explored Vista compatibility a lot - if you have, my apologies in advance, but...one example - CD/DVD Burning Software*«*CD/DVD*«*Catalogue of 64-bit Software*

You have InfraRecorder there, and list it for XP compatibility - but it works flawlessly on Vista x64 as well. Also, you make *no* mention of Alex Feinman's ISO Recorder, a must have solution for burning ISOs to media - he has both 32 bit and 64 bit versions for 200/XP and Vista.

Re: 64-bit Drivers

Thank you for your reply and feedback. We are really glad to hear from you.

We will definitely add a Alex Feinman's ISO Recorder tomorrow and change the Compatibility options for InfraRecorder.

The answer why the InfrRecorder's compatibility is set for XP and no any mentioning about Vista is very simple We just list software and if it's developer doesn't mention the Vista compatibility, we don't mention it as well before we test it.

Anyways, thank you very much, and if you have any software you know is definitelly native 64-bit, please suggest the listings here - 64-bit Software Forum - there is a suggestion board for freeware and for commercial software.

Thank you, we appreciate your help .

Re: 64-bit Drivers

And, conversely, thank you for your explanation, as that make perfect sense to me - if *they* don't say it then it makes sense not to list it.

I just found it odd that I didn't see much Vista x64 compatible software - and I use a ton of it.

Are you listing software that is specifically *compatible* or only 64bit software that is Vista compatible?

Re: 64-bit Drivers

Hm, what we are trying to do is to get rid of the *compatible* software and list only native apps, so if you are using a lot of software a s native 64-bit apps, then it would be great to get a list of just apps names that come in 64-bit editions.

We list all the software that is using the 64-bit environment, so all the software that is just compatible but runs as a 32-bit app is not the best thing in our catalogue.

Re: 64-bit Drivers

I'm sorry to say, there is a site that's been around longer than your site. The site I mention is 64bit - x64 - Home

Still, I'll keep your site in my bookmark listing for the time being, who knows, I may find something that I haven't come across any place else.

Re: 64-bit Drivers

That's ok, we know about that website as well and it's an awesome place. We learned a lot from tha twebsite as well before starting our one. But that is a bit different though; it's more like a blog style website.

Re: 64-bit Drivers

True - I like Start64 and it was a major resource for me as I built this machine, but after a while it got old - I found the apps I wanted and moved on....
