Re: Not Installed ACPI\AWY0001

I just tried the link and it resolved the problem. I have an Intel DG965WH motherboard. I could not find any driver that would work. The link that JacktheJerk posted fixed it right away. It moved the device under System Devices. It is about the fourth one listed as "AMD AwayMode".

Thanks Jack

Thank you, jackthejerk.
Your answer helped me out of a similar situation
This worked for a MS-7502 Board under Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit.

Re: Not Installed ACPI\AWY0001

Hi, I have just encountered the yellow ! under "Others" as shown within the Device Manager for my Dell Inspiron 531; an AMD Athlon PC with 64 x 2 Dual Core Processor @ 2.31 GHz.

Checking under properties I too had the ACPI\AWY0001 missing driver problem after doing a clean install moving from Vista 32bit OS to Windows 7 64bit OS.

I followed the link to MSi and downloaded the Vista_AMDAWAY .zip file containing setup.exe (filesize of 1,835KB.) Although the package will say it is not compatible it will run if you supply permission and try a second time. Having loaded the driver it appears to have solved my missing driver problem.

Please remember that making changes such as these do have a risk - so please proceed carefully making sure you know what to do should you need to recover or revert the change.
