driver signings

hi all ....

i recently reinstalled vista & then SP1 ...but i cant seem to keep driver signings disabled ...?
so my ''rivatuner'' app will not run unless the F8 fiasco is performed every start up

i have been running this for the best part of a year with no issues ..i disabled driver signing once when i first installed vista & never had to touch it again but something has changed since the format...

this is really annoying as i have nothing else currently (or want anything else) to control my GPUs fan speed...

there must be a way....
thx

Re: driver signings

Theres a few ways... The first one is the only true way but adds "test mode" on the desktop

Run the following command from an elevated CMD prompt: bcdedit /set testsigning on

OR

Open an elevated command prompt

type “bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS” without the quotes (and no the DD is not a typo)

OR

Use a Driver and/or CD to disable

Re: driver signings

I thought the ability to permanently disable driver signing was killed off by an update over 12months ago.

The Testsigning mode still allows permanently disabling the checks but adds "Test Mode" text on the desktop at each corner

this came up at the top of my screen...

''microsoft (build 6001) ... test mode''

but when i try to open rivatuner the text dissapears from the top of the screen & the usual F8 crap comes up

option 3 does sound promising ....

Re: driver signings

nhancer is way better than rivatuner

VistaBootPRO - Go PRO with Microsoft Windows Vista Boot Manager

BCDPro also has a boot option for disabling driver signing...Might work
