For such a once-wonderful application suite it has really gone downhill, which is somewhat un-German-like, if you know what I mean. Not only does it now take over file types without asking, but unsuspecting people also don't know that it makes a System Restore point for each and every application, tool and extension it installs...so installers beware! One person on the Nero Forums reported he had 66 restore points after installing the full Nero 9 suite. I avoided it all by fortunately seeing his post and disabling SR before I attempted same...LOL! But that would partly explain why it takes so long to install. By the way, I don't see any Tute here regarding File Associations and there is a very useful page here: removed. |
