driver problem

Hello. I wanted to dual-boot windows xp and windows vista together. I accidently wiped my PC in the process. So now i am going to do it the reverse way (install xp then vista). I went to boot from my xp disk, but the computer kept crashing because of a driver problem. I am now downloading the drivers for my computer, but the only problem is that the drivers are designed for vista not xp. I was wondering what should I do? Will the drivers work even if they are designed for xp? and How should i the drivers on my computer (which doesn't have an operating system)?

Please HELP ME

Re: driver problem

The drivers for vista and xp will not work together.
The best way to have a duel booting system is to have two hard drives and change the boot order in the bios. This way there will be no conflicts. There will be other answers posted here, and it is a pain going into the bios every time you want to change the boot order but this is just my opinion.

The drivers you are downloading can be put onto cd/dvd and kept as a backup after installing them. I did this when designing my PC. I downloaded all the drivers on my old computer and created a System drivers disk that I knew would work with the OS. This saves alot of time having to swap disk when installing the hardware drivers.
