PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA STOP..I got a blue screen of death with this..Its a driver issue and I cannot seem to start the pc normally. After talking to the lenovo tech person it seems that a possible premature update caused this as I cant boot...Just letting ya'll know...Matt

my specs: Lenovo IdeaCenter K Series K2.3 Pentium dual-core E2180(2.00GHz) 3GB DDR2 500GB Intel GMA 3100 Desktop with Vista Home Premium

CLFS.SYS

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Then it says restart if it is the first time and to make sure hardware is
installed right.

Technical Information:

Re: Page_fault_in_nonpaged_area stop

Causes : The Stop 0x50 message indicates that requested data was not in memory. The system generates an exception error when using a reference to an invalid system memory address. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause Stop 0x50 messages.

Solution :
  • Look for other hardware issues. Remove any newly installed Hardware.
  • Run any system diagnostics that are supplied by your computer manufacturer, especially a RAM check.
  • Perform a Driver Rollback if incase a driver has been updated for a particular component

Re: Page_fault_in_nonpaged_area stop

Reseating the ram & the video card should fix the problem. If that also doesnot fox the issue then run the diags on the complete system. And if all the diags pass then do a re-install of the operating system.
