I have the D-Link WDA-2320 (H/W Ver.: A2, F/W Ver.: 1.20) and Windows Vista Home Premium X64. I can install the drivers but it gives me a Code 31 error and says "The device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)." Please help me as this is really giving me a headache and I don't want to RMA or return this product, I just want it to work.

Hi, Aznboy1993, and welcome to the forums.

Are you loading drivers specifically for the 64bit OS? As in driver version 1.20 instead of an earlier version - D-Link WDA-2320 RangeBooster G Desktop Adapter

Also, please don't post duplicate posts in different forums. I removed the other one.
Hi and I'm sorry for posting two threads, I wasn't aware that I couldn't, but now I know. And this is my current situation.

I have an HP a6500f with an Intel Pentium Dual Core E2220 Processor, 4GB RAM, 500GB HD, Nvidia 630i motherboard, etc. I also have Windows Vista Home Premium x64. This is what I did to try to install my card (D-Link WDA-2320).

1.) Open up the computer and insert the card in an available PCI slot.
2.) Close the computer and powered up.
3.) Booted into Windows and cancelled the "Found New Hardware" pop-up.
4.) Inserted the disk and click "Install Drivers" (following the quick install guide).
5.) Accepted the License and clicked "Next" a bunch of times (making sure to read what is on the page, just in case).
6.) Clicked finish.
7.) Opened the wireless configuration utility and it said "No card found, please insert card now."

After all of this trouble I went to the D-Link site and downloaded the latest drivers 1.20 for Vista x64 (like the one who posted above) and I uninstalled the software that I just installed and using device manager removed the hard ware and restarted my computer.

This time when the "Add new hardware" pop-up popped up I click on Install. I said advanced install and I found the Vista X64 driver folder in from the driver I downloaded. I said "Have Disk" and navigated to the folder. Then found the WDA-2320 and tried to install it. It said Installing drivers for hard ware. After that it came to the finish screen. and it said this.

"The device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)."

WTF?!?! I tried to look it up but could not find an answer anywhere, so I would PLEASE like some help with this and will greatly appreciated any help and anyone who can point me in the right direction.
