Vista - Sound Driver (problem)

Hey i got some problem with my sound.
The problem is when i try too install the drivers for the sound i get an error that says that i recently uninstalled my drivers and need to restart my comp, so i restart and i get the same message and i don't have any drivers for my sound installed.
I have tried to reboot windows 3 times w/o any luck.
I am using soundmax integrated soundcard, i have tried to install the correct drivers (both the latest and older versions) and i still get tha error.
Is there a way to overide the error message and continue the installation?

Info on some stuff:
Motherboard: P5V-VM DH (not the best motherboard but it worked)
OS: Vista Ultimate x64

Still not working

The sound drivers dosn't even show in the list and that's the main problem i have.

Okay then try cleaning your registry, CCleaner in registry mode might do the trick

I have now tried to reboot my comp with XP but the sound didn't work on XP either so I went back to Vista.
I can only see 1 way to get my sound back and that is to buy a new soundcard.

Did you try installing the drivers after performing the CCLeaner and / or System Restore?

My computer couldent find any soundmax driver at all so those programs didn't work, I aslo Rebooted my cumputer with XP to see if there was any Vista issues (that everyone complains about :P) but it always said that I recently uninstalled soundmax and need to restart my computer in order to install the driver (and this was even after a fresh clean Windows install).
In the end i had to buy a new soundcard that dosn't use soundmax's drivers and it works great now.
