Hi All
Any 'wiz-kids' or 'geeks' out there who can tell me how to get a CanoScan D1250U2F working in a Vista 64bit environment? It is either find a 64bit driver or time to retire the 'Old Workhorse'. The sad thing is, it is still a good functioning scanner (When working!). Any help provided will be really appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Brian2,

You might have answered your own question. It might be time to retire it.

Here's the driver for vista, but 64? I don't know. Select vista OS.

Hi Brian2,

I have a Nikon Coolscan 4000 and had the same problem. My problem was solved by loading up a program called Vuescan (VueScan Scanning Software), which incorporates the 64-bit drivers for the scanner. Very nice, since Nikon doesn't support their own scanner this way!!!

If you're not familiar with Vuescan, it pretty much does what your scanner CanoScan D1250U2F software does, provided your scanner is supported. I've had this software since 2002 and it's constantly updated.

Personally though, I don't really use it as I prefer Nikon's scan software better, but since going to Vista 64 it's either that or no scanner. However I will it's a pretty good program that get's high marks from professional photographers.

Good luck

Err...edit, I see that's a flatbed scanner, thought It was a dedicated film sacnner. My recommendation may not work for you in this instance. Sorry.
