please help?

i just bought a Compaq Presario CQ40 that has AMD Turion x2 for its processor ATI Radeon HD 3200 for graphics and i'm using windows vista starter for my os.

right after i bought it the sales person told me that a message will pop up and i shouldn't worry about it since its just asking for the driver for the memory card slot.

the message is Could not load file or assembly 'MOM.Implementation' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

my problem is i dont know what driver i should install since a friend of mine bought the same model and no such message comes up.

other than the message pop up and being annoying it seems that everything else is working just fine.

can someone please help me?

Re: please help?

Hello Starter. I would try and download that driver first. If it doesn't work, go exchange it.

Re: please help?

Hi ,

You could see if this helps.

Go to Device Manager, rt click your display adapter and select Properties.

Roll back the Driver if you get the option to do so.

Re: please help?

Hi Starter,

If rolling back doesn't help, double check that you have Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 installed, otherwise you'll have errors with the Catalyst Control Center.

MOM is part part of the ATI Catalyst drivers. If the framework is not the problem, try uninstalling your current drivers and download and install the latest ones:

I already posted the link to the drivers. The rollback button is disabled because there is no other driver installed.

But when i click the link this shows up...

Secure Connection Failed

www.ati.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for a248.e.akamai.net

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

* This could be a problem with the server's configuration, or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.

* If you have connected to this server successfully in the past, the error may be temporary, and you can try again later.

i dont know whether to make an exception or not

Re: please help?

My apologies Starter, obviously ATI don't like direct links.

Drivers & Tools | GAME.AMD.COM

You would be looking for the "Catalyst Software Suite" version 9.1 44.1MB : for Vista x32 (English only)

or Catalyst Control Center 9.1 44.5mb Vista x32 (for languages other than English)
