| vista | unknown driver software package Hi, i am having major problems with my computer. lastnight i was browsing the net when it closed all programs down, and turned off. now every time i have the choice of attempting startup(which fails, bringing up a blue screen) or doing the recovery environment. i have attempted using the advanced tools, but im no genius on computers. i unfortunately havent made a backup so cant rollback. i didnt add any new devices im aware, except plugging in a digital camera 4 hours before the crash. after going the error codes of recovery environment i discovered multiple attempts by mcafee to update some data, i removed mcafee in the hope the problem would rectify. it didnt. now its just different problems. Some error codes: A recent driver installation may be preventing the system from starting, root cause found: unknown bug check: bugcheck7f.parameters=0*8. No class installer for: unknown driver software package, ethernet controller, network controller, sm bus controller, video controller, video controller (vga compatable), acer crystal webcam. Also i noticed when going into device manager under non plug and play devices the security processor loader driver has a yellow question mark next to it. i cant turn that driver on now. i can only access windows via safe mode. i cant use the network option as the blue screen appears. i couldnt find an 'unknown driver' in the device manager(although that might not mean its not there, lol) i will try bring over a screen print or extracts of the error codes. any help would be awesome please |
