if it shows up there, then you may need to establish a partition on the disk. right click, new partition.

The problem is it wont show up in disk management, although it will in device manager aswell as in the bios.

Hi fields,

Do you mean it won't or it doesn't?

When it shows up in bios do you get a smart message?

Have you checked the connection between the Drive and the Board? (That it is connected properly)

Have you tried using another connection on the Board? Maybe swap connections if you have no more free

Dont do that, firstly are you using IDE or SATA or SSD for your HDD's, if its the good old IDE you have to setup the Master and Slave jumpers, if its SATA you should try allowing it to be connected in the BIOS, try disconnecting and reconnecting, and allowing the computer to boot from it in the CMOS. if its a new SSD, you might need to get some firmware to activate it properly (these new SDD's have bugs - Intel just had to do a total recall to install firmware for theirs)
