Hey,
i bought a new wifi linksys usb stick to get wireless on my 64bit vista home premium...
so i installed the cd driver & plugin the usb...
the software recognized it, finished the installation & open the vista network window...
my wifi network is shown but when i try to connect, it says unable to connect to the *** wifi network...
at this time i can scan for routers, found them, but cant connect to them...
and the error comes before i ve the possibilty to enter a pw...

btw: the stick is vista certified...
---
i also try the driver from the linksys page, but it stops with a 122 error that the driver can't be installed properly... i've no idea...

i searched for other threads and google but nothing worked...
pls help...

Un-install the device driver via device manager, unplg the the USB device, remove and software that was bundled with the driver...... now without plugging in the the wifi adaptor reinstall the driver and software using run as administrator via right clicking the setup.exe if at the point of installation it asks you to insert the USB wifi stick then do so if not continue to Finish the installation, once finished pluck in ur usb stick and allow windows to search the best driver for the device when complete make a reboot
when you reboot you may well have an icon bottom right indicating a wireless network, right click now choose connect to network, this should be windows default network software click connect to your network (SIDD: your network name) if prompted my network encryption enter you full network key this can usually be found on a sticker on the side or base of you router, if not you may need to access you router web-page and not down you WEP key or WPA key dependant on your security method, once the key has been enterd correctly then you must also check set as default network or and clock ok to continue, all done correct you should now be surfing the interweb
