Terratec Cinergy CI USB

Hello,

I have a Terratec Cinergy CI USB reader to watch pay-tv over DVB-T:
TerraTec - Products - TV - PayTV - TerraTec Cinergy CI USB
together with a Terratec Cinergy HTC usb XS HD:
TerraTec - Products - TV - Hybrid (Multi-Standard) - TerraTec Cinergy HTC USB XS HD

now the TV stick works great on windows vista ultimate 64bit since there are 64bit drivers.
The CI reader however doesn't have any 64bit drivers for some reason.
I made an attempt to install them anyway on my system since I had success with 32bit drivers before.
Now windows didn't seem to eat the .inf file, so I edited it with "NTamd64" instead of "NTx86".
The installation popped off fine, but when nearly everything was ready... error:(
According to vista the drivers are not designed for my system.
I tried it with the boot option "don't check for bad signatures"(or something), but it didn't help as well.

Now I installed windows xp 32bit(it's nice and small) to get it to work, and it did. But I don't want to dualboot into xp when I want to watch TV. And when I'm on vista I can't record tv also. So this is not really a good solution.

I was hoping that somebody here would have a good idea to get my reader to work. Maybe there is a way to force vista to install the drivers. Another idea is to install it in a virtual machine... but I don't know if that is possible with an USB proxy, to use non-installed hardware.

Any help is welcome
thanks:)

p.s. I attached the drivers including the edited .inf file

Welllllll... so far

I'm using virtualbox to run my windows xp setup... it works fine
BUT it's hard to capture the usb devices correctly, there is just a very small chance it picks up the device correctly. However I did managed to get the card reader working...
are there any other virtual machines out there supporting virtual usb?
