Cant burn any discs

On June 22nd after I updated iTunes (may have stopped before that just didn't notice it as I havent had to burn anything in a while), my computer will not recognize any disc as being burnable. In iTunes the error I get is #2131 but they notified me that, that particular error means that the CD/DVD burner had some error. So being skeptical of mac I tried burning the disc through adobe and then through a basic windows folder. I returned the same error on each "Please insert a writable disc" I tried a few disc types as well including CD-R, CD-RW, and DVD+R, since there are a few things that needed to be burned. When I inserted the discs I got the standard blank disc pop-up window.

Any Suggestions?

I think your cd/dvd drive has a yellow exclamation mark. You have to open the property of the computer and check in the list if next to your cd/dvd drive the exclamation yellow mark. If you see it it is easy to solve your problem through regedit.
