Driver for my Wireless card for Ubuntu?

Smurfyy

Heyy, probably wrong place to post, but ive seen that there are some users that have ubuntu!

So last night i uninstalled my Ubuntu completely and today i reinstalled it.
After the reinstall i noticed that i can't connect to the internet, so i checked the connections and it says there is an unidentified device, my wireless card.

It asks me if i want to update the driver, but it can't because there's no internet connection!

The wireless card is a marvell libertas 802.11b/g if that helps.

Thanks in advanced!
Daniel =)

Do you have an Ethernet cable that you can plug into your router and Computer?? If so then you can be on the internet and you can update your card

Hope This Helps.

We thought of that, the only cables we have are 2 meter patch cables and no joiners.

Have been playing round with it and found that there is a package you can install that allows you to use the windows .inf file as a driver, will try it tomorrow.

You can use a wrapper... I use to have to do that a few years ago on my broadcom.

This: SourceForge.net: ndiswrapper

but a 3 dollar cable would be easiest.

Okay,
Ive got my system plugged into the network thru Ethernet.

So whats the best way to do it now?

EDIT1;
I'm upgrading to 10.04LST to see if it makes any difference ;)

EDIT2;
I've nearly deleted my Vista, and now its not booting, bios just says that theres an error.
Going to delete the Ubuntu partition and leave it for when i run out of drive space *which is pretty soon* and install it properly onto a new drive.

Any way i can delete the partition through the Windows Recovery Disc or through Ubuntu Live CD?

EDIT3;
Worked out that its grub thats broken :rolleyes: my luck...
