Solved tsst corp dvd+-rw ts-l632h wont recognize discs

I am having a problem with my tsst corp dvd+-rw ts-l632h recognizing discs.
I have tryed to go to the DELL websight and update the driver, but was not able to
get it to install. I have also tryed using the DRIVER MAX
program with no luck. when i put a disc in the drive, I can hear it spinning,
but get the message "please insert disc. Can anyone please advise??? Maybe
I just need a new drive. It is in a DELL inspiron 1525

Does the PC drive play a purchased DVD or music cd? If not, you will need a new drive! OK?

You can try the following steps:

1) Try to boot from the OS media or the Dell Resource CD (Drivers Cd) - If the system is able to boot then the CD drive is working good.

2) In case you are able to boot then run the file from the following link:

http://gur.in/registry/cdgone.reg

I am having this same issue, but my drive will recognize regular discs. Only blank discs aren't being read.

I've been trying everything I can find listed around here, including attempting to update the driver (it just said no updates available), uninstalling the CD/DVD driver and restarting (also after taking out the filter values or whatever it was called...), and downloading the FrogASPI. It still won't read blank discs.
