Welcome
Try connecting to the internet and then booting. Make sure that Windows updater is set to install
If that does not work, while connected to the internet, go to search by the start button and type device manager. Go to the missing drivers and install.
or the best way, go to the respective websites and download from there.

If you cant go online due to missing network adapter, using another computer and a usb, download to the usb.

You can download the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website for the laptop using its model no. and other information. You need to upgrade to Windows 7 which is very much fine working with nice user interactivity and GUI. The overall space requirement for installation is also less and takes lesser time to install as well.

do you have the factory discs, to reinstall with or you using your recovery disc you made. purchase the factory disc, theyre usually real cheap, i have the factory disc for my acer aspire 5515 of home basic, paid less than 20 bucks for them.
johhny all win7 is is a revamped vista with different start up logo and desktop background. some will disagree on that but i use win7. acer didnt install their software right and it caused problems so i went with a OEM SBP 32bit win7 home premium.
