simulatoe 2994 and vista?

I would like to know if I can run MS flight simulator 2004 on my acer vista laptop from walmart...

Also, Can I use the Logitech Freedom 2.4 GHz Cordless Joystick with my vista and 2004 flight simulator, if not what's a good wireless joystck that will work, if I need a wired one do they come with about a 15ft or longer cord?

the Saitek range of joysticks are more vista compatible i believe.
