| Vista Home Premium 32bit | The Sims 2 PROBLEM! :( :( I bought sims 2 to play on my Toshiba laptop, which runs with Vista, and it worked fine for aaaages, but then one day when i took my sim lady downtown, it froze while loading the downtown screen, and when i restarted and re-opened that family, it wouldnt work and was constantly frozen. since then it crashed everytime i tried starting sims or saving a family id made. it doesnt even stay on long enough to move a family into a house. I dont get an error message, it just stops loading or freezes. When i ctrl alt and del it says the programme is not responding. I bought sims seasons, and im still having the same problem. i have ran numerous virus checks and my laptop is fine. ive also uninstalled and reinstalled many times. Ive also tried changing game compatability without success. Ive gone as far as going and buying a new sims 2! PLEASE HELP ME! its driving me mad. lolthankyou!!! ![]() I've read that there may be two fixes for the sims 2. 1. Some forums reference that there is a patch for the sims 2 for Vista. I'd make sure you download and install the patch if it's applicable to your situation. 2. I've also read that right clicking the program icon and "run as administrator" has resolved some issues with the program in Vista. I hope this is helpful. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: The Sims 2 PROBLEM! :( :( Hi Have you managed to solve your problem with the Sims yet? My daughter is having very similar problems to yours - it stops responding when loading, usually after only 2 or 3 minutes of play - also on a laptop running Vista Home Premium. I've tried most of the suggestions on the Sims 2 tech support site, but nothing has helped. I was hoping that if you had managed to get yours working, you might be able to point me in the right direction Thanks Bryn |

| Vista Home Premuim 32bit | Re: The Sims 2 PROBLEM! :( :( i have had this problem on a similar model laptop. but i think i have found a solution. go to Download Software, Drivers and Utilities Filters and download the drivers and install them. i did this and the sims 2 has been working properly ever since. if the link isnt the right graphics card go to the intel website and serch for yours. i hope this helps |
