| Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 | Re: Cod4 Ah, gotcha. That's not a Vista thing, per se, it's a known issue in Call of Duty: Call of Duty 4 Forums There are a few fixes (haven't tried it, haven't had the prob) : » Call of Duty 4: “iw3mp.exe has stopped working” Error Fix Shane Cotee’s Blog: Fixes for common problems in new hardware & software Quote: Open the game’s installation folder (usually C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare) and open the “miles” folder. Rename mssmp3.asi to something else like mssmp3.bak. You should probably read through them before applying a fix. Apparently it all boils down to your onboard sound. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Cod4 i also had this problem, another fix for it is putting something in the Mic jack on your soundcard or intergrated sound. just plug some headphones into it when you click on the cod4 shortcut and when its loaded unplug em. works. |
