Vista - Sims 2 Crashing

I Have Sims 2 and it worked perfectly fine month ago and all of sudden it keeps crashing and i dnt kno wat to do

have you noticed any time frame pattern? for example, after 10min of game play.

iz that all u need ?

try a Clean boot to disable the programs running on the background, that could be affecting your game play.
download and install the latest driver for your video card.

check the temperature of your system, if it's running hot, it will cause issues with your gamming. use this program called HWmonitor.

Do you have the latest drivers for your components and the latest patches for the Sims 2?

Also, be sure that your graphics card has the latest driver. You could get it by searching for your model in HP's website.

If those do not work, I noticed that the Sims 2 uses the C++ runtime components. The latest build could be downloaded from:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) for 32 bit
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64) for 64 bit

how do i find wat kind of vista i have 64 bit or 32 bit plz AND THANX 4 RESPONDIN

click start, right click computer, and click properties.
it'll display the system properties where one of the things it says is the OS.
