| Vista Home Premium 64bit | SLI question Is it possible to SLI two completely different GPUs? I have a Nvidia gtx260 and I'm not really sure there will be enough room for a second one on my mobo, but can I SLI a smaller much different video card and have it still work? |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: SLI question there is a reason why sli'ing 2 different cards will not work, clock speeds of each card and memory amount, not to mention how many cores each gpu uses, for example 9800gtx runs with 128 cores, whereas the 260gtx runs with either 192 cores or 216 cores, my specific 260gtx runs with a clock speed of 2300Mhz and shaders at 640Mhz the standard 260gtx runs at 1998Mhz and shaders of 576Mhz, thats why you cannot Mix and Match. |
