Hi All,

I'm new to gaming & have limited knowledge of pc's so please bear with me!! :D I have recently purchased my first games : guild wars, battlefield 2142 & fifa 08, i have a problem with them as in when i have installed them (they installed fine) & i try to play the games the cursor disappears so i am unable to do anything, occasionally it flashes on & off the screen, i contacted Guild Wars support & asked them about the problem & they told me to update the drivers for my graphics card which is an NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430, i have done so & i have also updated the directX i now have version 10, after all this i'm still having the same problem!! a friend suggested uninstalling the drivers completeley & also the graphics card & re-installing the lot from scratch, i tried to uninstall the drivers but when i rebooted they just reinstalled again  i also dont know how to uninstall the graphics card!!??? or is it possibly that this graphics card is just simply to old (although guild wars is supposed run on almost anything!!) or is this a problem with vista?? I'm running vista 32 bit. If anyone could shed some light on this problem i'd greatly appriciate it!!! Thanks.

Hi All,

Uninstalling the drivers for your graphics card is considered the same as uninstalling the card. Windows automatically installs drivers when it finds a 'new device'. Upon reboot, a pop-up notice should appear in the bottom right corner of your screen informing you that it is installing the drivers. To ensure that you are installing the drivers you downloaded, click on the pop-up and cancel the installation. Then select the file that you downloaded and install it that way.

Your card is getting a little long in the tooth, but should be able to run those 3.

Does the mouse disappear in all games, or just Guild Wars. Either way, it sounds like a graphics card driver issue. Try uninstalling the card/drivers again and make sure you install the most recent drivers for your card as I mentioned above.
